Milwaukee rimshots

I've never followed the market, but as an outside observer, I'm curious as to whether WBZI and WEXY could simulcast and run a decent operation over Milwaukee rather than each rimshotting it with different formats. Their same ownership and dial positions also seem close enough to make this possible.

WBWI & WEZY?

92.1 & 92.5 could technically simulcast and compete with the other Milwaukee stations, but Bliss doesn't want to compete with Milwaukee stations. They have WEZY (92.1) serving Racine County & WBWI (92.5) serving Washington County (probably Ozaukee County too).

I say hats off for local radio, especially today when most operators want to serve the bigger community at any cost. But do they make nearly as much money doing it this way? Maybe they do, if it's done right.
