Milwaukee Television History: The Analog Years

Some of you asked me to post this when the publication date approached:

It's been years in the making, but my book: Milwaukee Television History: The Analog Years is at the printer, and should be available later this month.

You can downlaod a flyer (in PDF format) at: http://www.milwaukee-horror-hosts.com/DGTV_flyer_web.pdf. Ordering information can be found therein. You can also go directly to the Marquette University Press website at: http://www.marquette.edu/mupress/

Mike Olszewski, morning DJ at WNCX-98.5 FM in Cleveland, has been working on a Cleveland Television history book for a few years. He is hoping to have it finished sometime next year.

As a fellow Milwaukeean, Dick, I can say I'm eagerly anticipating the release of this book! You've done such a great job of digging up the city's TV broadcast history, as well as keeping the ever-changing landscape updated on your Web site. Thanks for all your efforts!

Having had the privilege of seeing a few chapters of the book in draft form a while back, I can't wait to see the finished product! Congratulations, Dick - I know this has been a long time in the works.

Thanks Dave! This has been a labor of love. I could write a book on writing a book! Wait...many folks have done that...

As of this afternoon, the printer/binder was working hard to have the books on trucks next week. Copies may be at the MU Press and the distributor (BookMasters) by the end of next week, or certainly by early the week of the 15th.

Scott, now you have to get it in gear and finish your book! ;)

Thanks for the kind words. It'll be a year in February since you made that wintry drive here for dinner with a bunch of us.
