So I read the post about mingo no longer being at kdbs/Radio campesina network. thats to bad you are no longer there. its hard now a days to find talent that sticks in a market, that is not some off the wall jock they pulled out of nowhere or a voice tracked jock from who knows where. Anyhow, who is this shrimp guy as refered to by(Alex G.) can someone or if he's so good show us or get a copy of his resume. Give me a break get a life guy! Im not a big radio expert, I've spent sometime in radio, but have grown up all my life in this town and from a listener point of view your full of it shrimp! Radio is not like it use to be it's very commercialized and with big radio groups like clear channel, you dont get jocks that know the home town feel and get to know there listeners, why because jocks of clear channel and other radio groups that have voice tracked talent are off in neverland nowhere near there listners. My point is Mingo is loyal he enjoys people and his listners you cant knock someone for hitting an untapped market and getting a listner base that follows him. I remember back in his clear channel days when they had his show voice tracked on a Ventura radio station. I thought wow good for him, he's getting that big time exposer like some of those other well known syndicated shows. lets see where you can be heard shrimp. Hey Mingo I've been wanting to get back into radio and production. I have some office space maybe we should open our own production studio and also start a fully commercial internet radio station and give the guys over at AGM and Clear channel something to think about, it would be sucessful with all the people that have high speed internet at work and home now. By the way the guys over at buckley radio are great Brad Buckley good guy, I have some family that works there. Good luck Hope you get back on the air soon and if they hire you over at buckley and you need a producer give me ring. Ha! Ha!

Hey Man,

Sounds Great! I have actually considered it, but I haven't completely given up on traditional radio yet. Thanks for the kind words, they're hard to get on this board. It's good to know that my 7 years here haven't been a waste.

Re: online broadcasting

you should just think about doing it on the side, I was thinking about converting my existing store space into a couple of studios. I want to do something along the lines of an oldies format 50's and 60's with that oldies feel like a K-EARTH 101 and the other would be something that is all about really playing what people want and really involving the listners. I looked at buying some billboard space and some tv spots to promote them. But I really think the oldies format would do well with those people that listen at work. we should have lunch sometime I'll show you the space i have left from my T Mobile store and if your interested maybe we could work on something or if your interested i can rent you some space. Take it easy hope to hear from you soon.
