"Minor" Change For WVRR

L

WVRR-FM 101.7 (for now) has filed a CP to change City of License from Newport, NH to Westminster, VT, change frequency from 101.7 to 101.9, increase power and install directional antenna to cover Keene, NH market (just the latest move-in). What is drawing so many FM's to Keene, NH and causing them to leave their original Cities of License, and even STATE?

Blame Clear Channel. They were the ones that put in for the change of COL and transmitting facilities. Apparently, there's not enough money to be made in Newport/Claremont and Springfield, VT with these freqs.

Jeff, who recently inherited said allocations, is excited about going ahead with it, so maybe they'll still be able to cover the areas they had with additional growth in their new homes??
