More pointless slobber from the Dawghouse........
Was not impressed with her at the fair. Guess the saying is true about a face opening doors. She looks great
but the singing to me just sucked. A few years ago. The fair lineup was Charlie Daniels, Randy Travis and the Oak Ridge Boys. Now that was a good week. She was at the Greene County Fair last year. I think she ticked some folks off that day. It was raining all day, and she made the comment: "What's wrong with a little rain? You paid good money to see me". All that for 7 bucks. Call me old, but some of the new acts as Hank Jr. says in one of his videos "That aint country!" What'd you say bout' that one J Street?
 
Not much of an opinion on Miranda Lambert, honestly. She's not exactly my type of country music, but she is better than Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill and Shania Twain and let's not forget those sellouts Tim McGraw and little Jimmy Buffett, oh I mean Kenny Chesney. I'm just happy I have front row Shooter Jennings tickets! As for the fair, Charlie was great on Monday, but the 15 minute instrumentals by random band members were a little much. Didn't get to hear Stroker Ace or Uneasy Rider, but he played the rest of the greats. I'll never forget when he did Free Bird on the fiddle a few years ago though. My worst memory about the fair would be having Chris LeDoux tickets a few years back. He had to cancel (got hurt in a rodeo) and they replaced him with Billy Ray Cyrus! Unfortunately, Chris isn't with us anymore so it makes the time we all missed out even worse.

On a side note, the fair lineup wasn't great this year. Although, I was very impressed with the country lineup at Fun Fest. I knew Josh Turner would be great. He did a few songs by Randy Travis and John Anderson that got me out of my seat. I wasn't expecting much from Jason Aldean, but I was pleasantly surprised when he did a 3 song set by Alabama followed by 3 GNR tunes. And of course, LeAnn Rimes is always good, at least when compared to other female country singers these days.
 
I've not seen Miranda live but I do have her album and I like it. Better than most debut albums by new country singers.
 
What exactly does this have to do with RADIO? You are discussing the in-concert performances of certain country artists, which has nothing to do with any format. There are a lot of musical artists, in all formats, that are not good in concert, but still get plenty of airplay on the radio.
 
That's because you have a lot us around here who don't get to play in the radio everyday. All we can do is talk talk talk about bs.
