Does anyone know whatever became of Bob Peloquin??? He used to work at WCLZ, as
Rob Quinn, I believe. Prior to that he did mornings on Portland's long defunct Rock station, Z-101 (WYNZ), as Danny Shewster, in the early '80s. Any info would be appreciated...

I only recently discovered this site when doing a Google search for someone and have now registered as a member.

The posting you put up back in Jan 2006 has me quite curious as to who you are!

As for the Peloquin / Shewster whereabouts...  I dropped out of broadcasting following my part-time stint at WCLZ. In 1985 I married and settled into a different life but tried to stay creative. I was a founding member of the Improv comedy group "Loosen Up" which had a very nice 7 year run, performing in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. I also did some local TV spots, the most played one was a 60 spot for Nissen Bread starring (?) Ted Williams and Bud Leavett.

I divorced in 1997 and moved to New York to see about starting over completely. The divorce was quite a shattering experience. To date I have not returned to broadcasting and do not think I have a place in the field as so much gas changed over the years.

But I am so surprised and pleased to see that someone remembers Danny Shewster. I did try to have fun and create a station that had a unique voice.
