Missing Hard Branches

Anybody have any ideas about the older DAD system choking on hard branches? It will come to one and just sit there and do nothing...dead air. This can happen at random times and usually when the system is just running on its own, not while somebody is editing etc. The system clock is right on.

Are you sure this is not a timed event instead of a hard branch? And, are you sure the branch isn't forward only or something?

Yes, this is a hard branch which you enter from the PLAYLIST MODIFY screen, then INSERT, then HARD BRANCH. I've watched it happen (and unfortunately have heard it happen!). For example, I've seen a hard branch for, say, 1505:05 with the even just prior to it having a load command. That event will end. 1505:05 comes and passes and nothing happens.

Have you tried posting this problem on the ENCO users forum (http://forum.enco.com/)? You might have a better shot at solving your problem there.

Probably a stipid question, but does the Hard Branch have an "L" segue code? It should be a "S" or "A".

The hard branch ends with an "A" command.

Try changing it to an "S". That's what I always do and it always works. I have a newer version, though.
