... are classical and dance.
One would think a radio company would take a chance on dance on HD2 in Houston.
As for classical, I realize KRTS's 12+ ratings seemed miniscule before Radio One bought the station and pulled the plug. But HD2 is a whole new ball game.
(I'm not saying I'd expect classical to suddenly get huge ratings on HD2 -- not at all - but I am saying that HD2 is a new medium and there seems to be room there for niche formats, witness the sudden appearance of such formats as AAA and classic alternative in Houston's HD2 "starting lineup." Incidentally, speaking of AAA, that has historically tended to attract a somewhat older, better-educated and upscale listenership, if I'm not mistaken. Does that remind anyone of classical's listenership?)
