My car radio doesn’t go below 87.9 FM, speaking of 87.7.. Is that station still on air over there in Beaumont?

They weren’t on a year ago either. Also if you didn’t know but all the analog tv stations shut down recently so 87.7 is no more. There are 2 currently testing 87.7 with atsc3Oh no.
Anyways...
I did actually catch this during tropos after the shutdown. Didn’t realize they got an staAbout 87.7/87.9, there is an LPTV station in San Antonio with a STA to continue to operate until January... They're on 87.9 though, which is not mentioned in FCC paperwork. They're lucky to not have been busted, LOL.

I was in Nola back in June and was able to pick them up just fine from Winnie to almost lake Charles and on my way back so they were on the air for sure .They weren’t on a year ago either. Maybe I missed them when I was going through Louisiana the few times I did. Lafayette did have an 87.7 that went as far as Baton Rouge by the river.I was in Nola back in June and was able to pick them up just fine from Winnie to almost lake Charles and on my way back so they were on the air for sure .
Can you even pick up 92.3 there? I also noticed that annoying buzzing sound goes away at nightThe KSHJ 96.1 translator is back on the air. Still not hearing the KYOK translator on 92.3 at my Cy-Fair location.
According to FCC data, they have applied for an STA to continue analog. It doesn't show being granted.About 87.7/87.9, there is an LPTV station in San Antonio with a STA to continue to operate until January... I think pending means they can continue until deniedAccording to FCC data, they have applied for an STA to continue analog. It doesn't show being granted.
The FCC granted a couple of channel 6 stations an experimental license to demonstrate whether or not it it possible to combine analog and ATSC 3.0 signals. After that finishes, the FCC will look at the data and decide whether to allow the practice to continue
That’s what I’ve heard about STAs. That’s apparently why KHTZ is still on the air.I think pending means they can continue until denied
