Mississippi Nearly All Private

Perhaps I am mistaken, but shortly after August 1, Mississippi will be the home to only one group that trades on Wall Street. . . .Cumulus. . . a group that will lose half its value when its stock drops by another buck. Anyone in Columbus/Starkville care to fill us in on when in July that might happen (the office pool always appreciates the inside track!).

Cumulus aside, Mississippi radio is arguably all privatized. The arguable part is that CC 2.0, Triad and Inner City are not exactly ma and pa operators, but never-the-less, none trade on the big board.

Of course, should the CC deal fall apart again. . .

Debut Broadcasting, proprietor of properties in Greenville, Indianola, and now Vicksburg is publically traded.
