Mistaken Identity

Uhm, this pirate station claims on their web site to be a "low powered FM"-then in the very next sentance that they: "can be heard from the coast of New Hampshire, all the way to Boston, Massachusetts". Also, some of the statements pisted here could be considered slanderous. I might also note that on THEIR website they have Mr. Johnson's full name, address, phone number and pictures of both him and his house.

http://www.xrqk.com/RADIOBRANDYNET/879FM.html

This is a very dangerous thing to do-and the people involved could well be charged with a crime should anything happen to Mr. Jonhson.

The bottom line is this: These people are pirate broadcasters-running FAR MORE power then part 15 allows! If they want to do this, fine-but Mr. Johnson has the right to complain to the FCC about their illegal operation. The only thing I am judging them on is their behavior towards Mr. Johnson. If this truly speaks to their character-then they deserve what they get-and NONE of us should show them a single drop of sympathy!

I am tired of hearing it's a dangerous thing to do it's is just a radio station. It is the responsibility fo the FCC not Mr. Johnson. He reported it and that is the end of it. It is the FCC's job to enforce the law not Johnson. This guy has some kind of personal vendetta against this guy.

Interference??? Please....

>>It’s a low-power station and he’s a kid, so it’s no big deal, right? Wrong…The big deal is that commercial broadcast stations have their frequencies allocated in a way the ensures they don’t conflict with other stations in the area and any other users of the RF spectrum. 91.9 MHz is only 400 kHz away from CBC Radio 1 (91.5 MHz), so he could in fact be causing some local interference.
(snip)

In the part of the country that is the worse area for short spacing interference, IBOC adacent interference, and someone wants to take away this kids fun.... Had he been really interfering, a local station would have filed a valid complaint. This heavy handed stuff was uncalled for.

Obviously you have a problem with reading comprehension. Let me say it again in capital letters: POSTING MR. JOHNSON'S ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER IS A BAD IDEA! It speaks VOLUMES about the character of this 200 watt ERP "low power" pirate! Already the nutcakes are responding: have you seen this? http://www.radioether.org/Docs/SnitchReport.pdf
But I guess you think this kind of stuff is A-OK...RIGHT?

So it is alright to post the name and address of a blind guy? Why is it alright for Johnsons to post his information?

LA_Guy I was just on the 879thewave.webs.com web site I dont' see anything on there about Mr. Johnson.

I do see it on a site called Radiobrandy but that is someone else's site.
