Mistress Carrie run to home base

Her other video is pretty interesting, a tour of the air studio. I can't believe the dump buttons ( one for each station if I had to take a guess) are that far away from the board.

I've worked at a station that didn't even have one....or you could work at a station and let one go out over the air anyways...like one of the radio-info members around here ;-)

Actually, it was me. I had a slip. First, and only in my career. We were not running in delay at the time.

What is the lesson learned? ALWAYS run in delay. If you have the means, utilize them. Better to have it and never hit "dump," than to get suspended for 2 days for not editing a phone call efficiently because you were rushing to get content on the air.

If I ever end up as a Program Director, that will be the policy.

The best incident of swearing I ever heard was when (in another market) our competitor was doing a live show from a club with 100% of the content being generated on-site. The jock, who was live from the club, asked a random girl why she wasn't on the dance floor and her response was "because the music f--king sucks". Priceless!

Back in the day when 7 second delay was done with 2 reel to reel decks, I was doing a Fools concert live.

" Hey guys we're on the radio..... on the count of 3 go F*&k YOU!"

and that my friends was that, no delay, just a note in the program log when I got back to the station noting the ooops
