He's still on the Beach, still waiting out a non-compete and looking for his next opportunity
 
Are Non-Compete's still in play when you get canned? Or is he still under contract with Sandusky and still getting paid?

Depends on the contract. Most companies are smart enough to make the non-compete survive a contract termination.
 
They often do extend beyond the contract limits, which I think is grossly unfair to the talent. If he's so hot you don't want him on a competing station, renew his contract or let him make a living elsewhere.

I've seen these clauses for years - probably even signed a couple - and have always thought them unfair and hard hearted.

Other than that, I have no opinion.
