Anyone hear Mitch Evans on 99x with TLJ this morning? Apparently he's their new traffic/sports guy. Probably a good fit. Although, there wasn't a whole lot of banter this morning (at least when I was listening) so it was hard to gague exactly how good of a fit it really is.

Thoughts?

I wasn't a big Crash fan, but that kind of staying power and audience loyalty usually spells doom for the guy replacing him. Hopefully, Mitch will do well. From what I hear, he's a decent guy.

To me, it just seems like the natural order of things. He leaves Dave (and not on very good terms), and eventually goes to 99x...to whom he bitched after leaving Dave (a direct competitor of 99x).

Well Barnes had Mitch fired. He does a good job with sports and I think he will fit in well. I really miss Crash Clark and I hope he lands somewhere soon. Hopefully the BUZZ will pick him up.

Rodney Ho has Mitch as been hired by 99X at this AJC blog. There is still a post for Traffic Reporter/Sports at 99x.com (http://www.99x.com/index.asp?url=/station/jobs/index.asp?). I find it really funny that the very first qualification is "Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations"

Mitch is a nice guy and pretty good with the sports. Barnes isn't the only difficult person to work with over there.

It is even funnier is that Mitch went there BEFORE the job was posted. Well at least before it was posted on All Access anyways. But hey we all know............... we all need the EOE requirements.
