Note subject heading: "Re: MIX 100 "The Michael Jackson station"

what is the question you are asking. I believe at that time they were #4.

i did some research about whether KLLL ever came back from that stunning defeat, 5 years ago... yes they did, and bear was somewhere around 6th or 7th place in the market behind #1 KLLL last time.

I can see the point of playing or not playing Michael Jackson, and or the Dixie Chicks, and its effects on ratings. The fact that the Bear continued to play the Dixie Chicks though having a big impact on that particular book has nothing to do with 12+ numbers, stunning defeats or " where the Bear was last time.
Having a chip on your shoulder is no way to go through life. and like Garrett said, the thread has gone seriously off topic.

somebody brought up linkage between playing the chicks during the time when they made the statements about The president, and ratings with bear, so you're saying there is no linkage? ok... it was a lucky bounce.

What would happen to a station that played the Dixie Chicks covering a MJ song? Or visa versa???? Or even better... MJ covering a Dixie Chicks song with Garry Glitter on backup vocals.

I guess we will never knoooooooooow.

cspot... you sound alot like my ex wife..at this point, I may be convinced.
