Mix 104-1 vs. WXLO

I just moved to an area where I pick up both stations, boohoo for Northshore 104.9. :( but anyway. Upon listening to them on Saturday, aside from XLO's way back weekend vs. Mix's Extreme 90's weekend, they sound the same musically. Are the stations mimicing each other?

Also, Jerry McKenna was much better programmer for Mix than I first thought. I let my own biases of what Mix should sound like influence my decision. Wasn't liking the rhythmic part of the station back then, but it all seems to fit now though.

During the transition time back when JayBeau left XLO for Mix, you'd hear many similarities. The positioner changed at Mix - nearly matched XLO, for instance. Thought that was risky, considering soon after Mix was .4 away on the dial.

XLO has a HUGE signal... not as though it's a Presque Isle station.
