Mix 106.5 has been Amp'ed!

We knew Mix 106.5 was leaning CHR for years. CBS Radio has officially announced that it will become Amp Radio 106.5 in the next few days.

Amp or no Amp Mix 106.5 continues to sound more and more like a full blown CHR/Pop station.
Just added to the playlist are Jamie Foxx's "Blame It", and Soulja Boy's "Kiss Me Through The Phone".

It's still playing more variety of music than Now 92.3

All CHRs play more variety that Now 92.3, haha. There's even a big difference between Amp Radio in L.A. and Now 92.3 - Amp plays more titles, and is a bit more balanced musically.

So what else can I tell you about Mix 106.5? Recurrent-wise they're playing Notorious BIG "Mo Money Mo Problems" mo frequently, and Nelly's "Ride With Me" was also played tonight.

Personally I wish WWMX would make up their minds on what it wants to be. They should go Top 40 period!

AMP seems to be surrounded by more positive reviews than the FRESH format. This may work, for what reason I have no idea.

I was had Mix 106.5 in the car while driving on 95 they sound CHR to me with some hot ac just thrown in. They sure don't sound Hot AC to me.
