Mix 106.5 Opening

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the opening at Mix 106.5 here on this board. Don Hallett is a nice guy. He would be a good person to work for. Hes also smart.

Considering that Cindy Spicer was VT'ed out of Dayton (WGAR's Kat Jackson was in that slot this morning) that would have to be the obvious move.

I'd see it as an upgrade at WMVX, considering who they get...

WMVX feeling the pressure from a former employee of theirs currently doing middays -- LIVE -- at their competitor? I guess MIX didn't like how they fared against Q104 in the recent book.

I think the opening is for afternoons....Now, is that afternoon as in part of the mid-day shift is IN the afternoon or...is it afternoon drive? My bet's on the latter...

The opening at MIX

The actual opening he's referring to I believe is PM Drive. It's been vacant since Lee Ann Sommers left for Denver, with MIX's imaging director keeping the seat warm until a replacement is found.

It's PM Drive

From Mix's AllAccess job ad, posted by new PD Don Hallett himself:

"Cleveland’s MIX 106.5 is looking for our next star to make PM drive sparkle. Three to five years on-air experience with contemporary formats, strong show prep skills and a proven ability to shine at appearances required. WMVX is a rock based HOT AC. Send an MP3 (please keep them short),
your resume and other pertinent materials to (DonHallett at clearchannel dot com) or mail your package to my attention: WMVX, 6200 Oak Tree Boulevard, 4th Floor, Independence, Ohio 44131. No calls please."

(The E-Mail address has been slightly edited by me so it doesn't feed the spambots for Don...)
