Mix 106.7

While I do enjoy the music on Mix 106.7, does anyone else agree that they need to change their imaging? I think that the voice guy they have now is kind of annoying. Also, they should have jingles. Regardless, I feel that Mix fills a niche in the market since both the Rose and Warm play a lot of contemporary music. They are a nice alternative.

I agree. If anything, I think they've gone even a little 'softer.' I heard Barry Manilow the other day. It sounds nice. Thanks to Mix and 'SJW, central PA's actually a pretty balanced market. Like soft AC and jazz or hate them, but without those two stations, the market would be pretty boring.

Doesn't Mix remind you of Philadelphia's Sunny 104.5 when they first signed on? Sunny used to have a much softer sound, much like the Mix of today. While I do like Mix, I prefer Philly's Sunny better. Sunny has more of an upbeat presentation, including jingles that Mix needs ever so badly.

Yeah, you're exactly right. Mix does sound like Philly's Sunny of three years ago. But I have to disagree that Mix should follow Sunny. I'm personally tired of hearing Madonna on Sunny anymore, and all the Motown that they play, as well. WARM plays enough of the newer stuff for central PA. Mix is fine as it is now musically, but I will agree that they need some better imaging.
