Mix 107.9 Today

I visited the Mix 107.9 website, and I noticed they changed it up. There's no slogan for the station on its logo, and the jock I see having a blog is the morning host. I'm wondering if there are some changes possibly going on or if they have yet to decide on slogan and giving other jocks their blogs among other things.

I think I heard a "Today's Best Mix" liner not too long ago. That said, they've been evolving over the past year or so.
At the turn of the decade is when they started dropping a portion of the 80s and now I'm noticing a drop in 90s modern AC tracks (probably due to Gen X 106.7) and an increase in dance-pop.

This is where Hot AC has been going nationally anyway...

The missing jocks from Mix were tracking on Mix and going live on Sunny. Dantzer has always been the only live/local personality on Mix as far as I know. The other two missing jocks were from Sunny.

Also, Afternoons are occasional live/local... That is what I was told.

Did anyone else bother to look at the other two Saga Stations web pages, On Sunny only Dino and Stacy are listed under on air, and Rewind had no one listed even though they have on air voices, although shared with the other stations in the cluster.

Maybe they're just going to be doing some website mods or jock shuffling for their stations?  And maybe some minor repositioning and graphics changes with Mix?

BTW, has Mix always promised "no rap," as now shown in the The Station Information section of the website?

"Thanks for visiting us! We are Mix 107.9, serving Columbus, Ohio and the Central Ohio area. Music on Mix 107.9 combines today’s hottest hits – from artists like Lady Gaga, Pink, Nickelback, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Daughtry – with ‘90s, and 00s pop favorites from Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox Twenty, No Doubt, and Maroon 5. It is a contemporary mix of music, without rap or hard rock.  Thank you for listening and please let us know what you want from Mix 107.9!"

I think so too. I think having him on plus the subpar signal is the reason the ratings were low. Before WBNS switched from Hot ac to sports they had Matt and Ramona on and I noticed the ratings were going in a downward spiral with them on. Maybe keeping the celebrity gossip off and playing more music might help them out.

My guess is their making changes at "SAGA" ... I know David who works on Rewind has been posting on FB that he'll be on at "night" now on 103.5/104.3 instead of "middays" .. sounds like removing the jocks from the sites (exept the high profile morning show on Sunny) is allowing them to shuffle around their talent (for whatever reasons..)
