Mix 92.5

I finally had a chance to listen to The Mix a few times recently, and I was really impressed with what I heard. The music seems a lot younger, as does the morning show.
Mitch and Amy do a great show together. Mitch sounds like he would be a lot of fun to hang out with; he is funny and has really started to run with his role as the lead. Amy Lynn seems to have matured enough to sound great as a co-host, but is still young enough to be in touch with pop culture and keep the show sounding young and fresh. I even enjoy the producer (I believe his name is John) he does a very good job keeping the show moving along and comes up with good topics for conversation.
I haven't listened much later in the day, (good to hear Lisa Adams back on the air middays as well) but from what I have heard the station is in a good position right now to steal some ratings from KISS and Star.

Mix and Kiss are two different stations. They might play the same ROb THomas and Kelly Clarkson songs, but Mix has put itself between a rock and a hard place with its music.

Their music is too young for the KPLZ audience, and too square for the Kiss crowd.

The morning show may have improved, but if it's Mitch & Amy versus Kent & Alan, guess where the Eastside soccer moms are going to land?

Then you come down to the intangibles. Kiss and Star have themselves solidly positioned in the market. Mix has changed their music and staff so often over the past 24 months, the audience doesn't know what to expect.

Seems to be a massive effort to shed the KLSY flashbacks

Probably on KRWM. Where they'va always been since K-Lite gave up the ghost.

And that's not always a bad thing, in small doses of course. The final shovel of dirt on the KLSY grave will come once the call letters change to something more reflective of their sound these days....

Mix/Kiss are two different stations??

Gee Derby-Werbie, we really need college degrees to figure THAT one out...

Well, at least you're not insulting MY intelligence...

..and don't say that I have no intelligence to insult either...

What do I have to do? I just let your posts speak for themselves.
