Mix 93.1 Crystal Clear

I live in Rowlett just off of Dalrock and SH66 and I can currently pick up KTYL Mix 93.1 out of Tyler-Longview crystal clear..no static or anything, but I cannot pick up KDBN 93.3 good at all. And this is on a clock radio!

The weather does that.

Yep. I was getting 106.5 KOOI out of Longview this morning crystal clear from North FW to Las Colinas. 102.5 KMAD was coming in as well but I am not sure where htey are from. Actually the scan feature even stopped on 95.9 The Ranch in Dallas County! That hardly ever happens.

Welcome to DX'ing!

I have heard Jackson, MS out of Dallas...and I have heard Shreveport stations numerous times.

I live in Lubbock now. I hear Dallas stations up here on occasion, especially in the spring and summer time, but my absolute best catch here in lubbock is 104.5 out of Jacksonville, Florida.

So early in the morning or late at night during the spring, summer, and even the early fall, play with your radio and you might catch some interesting signals, some that could be hundreds of miles away. (although it is more of a challenge in the metroplex now because of the hiss stirred up from HD Radio.)

The biggest one for me is the time I picked up 106.1 Kiss FM from Dallas in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on a boombox.

I can top ALL of that...I picked up The Bone in Garland once.

Oh even better I heard Kews once and they were an ALL news station.

I picked up KESN 103.3 nice and clear... here in Kilgore this early morning on my old Realistic portable. Broadcasting only in mono helps..
