Mix 94.1 and JYY: The "OHP" Dilemma

In the Arbitron they are still listed as a Hot-AC. Mix is a Hot-AC name. But they arent. Hot AC's dont know who 50 Cent is, nevermind play his music.

CHR as a whole is playing alot more rap...but slowly PDs are starting to smarten up. In Boston, Kiss is offsetting the abundance of rap with The Killers and Franz Ferdinand.

Mix has a good selection of music...but again...wet sweepers over music? WET SWEEPERS OVER MUSIC? I hear it EVERY TIME I TUNE IN. It's horrific.

1 - Not since Nassau took over and really got their hands into things.

2 - Again, something that really kicked into high gear when Nassau started paying attention to 'JYY and tweaking things around. I know, via an inside source, that the jocks don't have a choice. It's laid out for them, break by break. They'd have more room for improv, and would do so, before the huge corporate hands came in and tweaked things around.

3 - Well, there's nothing I can say about that one.
