Mix 94.1 flips to Radio 94.1

Read what http://www.allaccess.com/ has to say about it.

Heres a little sample: At Noon TODAY, the plug was pulled on MIX. An ALL ACCESS source told us told the station will, "be a brand new radio station targeting Women ages 25-39. Radio 94-1 is a new kind of Adult Contemporary station. It will play quality music that our target audience is interested in, presented in a manner that will not insult their intelligence."

Some of the artists will include JOHN MAYER, MATCHBOX TWENTY, DAVE MATTHEWS BAND, COLDPLAY, SARAH MCLACHLAN, GOO GOO DOLLS, BARENAKED LADIES, SHERYL CROW and others.

The Station reminds me of the music that was played in the WB show "Charmed".

heres a list of artists I think they should add:

Ziggy Marley, The Donnas, Switchfoot, Butterfly Boucher, Aslyn, Dido, Balligomingo, Stereophonics, Steadman, BeWitched ( Blame It On The Weatherman my favorite song of thiers), Beth Orton, Michelle Branch, Dave Navarro, Natalie Imbruglia, Snake River Conspiracy, Beth Hart, The Corrs, Collective Soul, Bush, Dishwalla, Paula Cole Band, The Cranberries, Citizen King, Tori Amos, Beth Nielsen Chapman, and Fuel.

Well no, they are trying to steal away some listeners by playing

Chasing Cars
Snow Patrol

Otherside
Red Hot Chili Peppers

I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For
U2

EH HEE
Dave Matthews

The World I Know

Collective Soul

Sounds like a revamp of the Modern AC format, which I hated personally but they needed to do something and it could work. Don't think this is necessarily it though, but at least it is different than what the other stations are doing.

I have and I'm not impressed. As titosradio pointed out, its Modern AC with no personality. It was time for 94.1 to change, but this will not do any better than MIX did.

Honestly it may do worse. I don't really think this is the type of music 25-54 women want to listen to. I know of one lady in my office who was very loyal to Mix, will be interesting to see if she "switches" to Radio or simply switches the radio.

what? its not different what other stations are doing?, you can hear the same music down the dial on 94.9, the mix format had more music that was not heard anywhere else
