Mix 94.1 - Mix 94.5 (The Same Songs)!

With as much signal overlap in Northern Kentucky as both these CC stations have, you would think they would both hit the shuffle button at different times of the day. Over here, we find that if a Christmas song comes on that we don't like, we just either head on up to 98.5 or turn the radio off. Why bother checking the other Mix, since more times then not, the very same song is starting or in progress! I would think this would be embarrassing!! And both stations have are only two FM channels apart, and have the same logos!
Boisterous in your face cookie cutter radio.
Sad really, IMO.

Most of the audience that counts in Cincinnati isn't listening to Lexington and vice versa. It affects a relative handful of listeners if indeed they are running identical playlists.
______________

The 94.5 in Lexington used to be pretty decent back in 1989 or 1990 when it was POWER 94.5. Now it's a pile of poop.

I can't believe they've let a legendary station fall apart so spectacularly.

A "Jack"-type format modeled on the old Power 94.5 would work great there.

Perhaps Clear Channel could flip Mix 107.7 and Channel 94.5 in Dayton, and run all three Mixes as "Mix 94". Coverage in Cincy wouldn't be great, but Clear Channel could even take WVMX out of that equation and still cover all three markets! Traffic reports could cover the whole I-75 corridor from Sidney (OH) to about London (KY). Which TV station gets to do the weather might be an issue, though . . .
______________
