Mix 96.1

I have to give props to Mix 96.1. They've been playing some really good old school music like the 69 boyz, INOJ, Lauren Hill, Candyman and others. There's also less Alternative and more Rhythmic music. The station sounds so much better. Now if they only get rid of Kid Kraddick.

havnt noticed that, I'll give mix a listen. They should also add a mixshow in like they use to have to spice up the weekend radio in San antonio.

Old Sckool huh? Could this be a sign of something coming soon.... Their playist is more Rythmic than ever before alot of Hiphop and R&B songs are in heavy rotation and alot of recuurents are being put back N2 rotation. Hardly anymore Pop/Rock. Anyone get where Im going? All I know that MIX is a pathetic station, not as good as it was when Krash Kelly PD'd it. The music, the vt jocks, etc. Wonder what the 2 Tony's got planned?

I recently heard again that Mix is suppose to flip either to Hurban or a Jack style format. This could be the reason why you haven't heard the new PD on the air.

it's been a while since they've had a mixshow right? i remember when i worked there a few years ago, they had live in-studio mixshows.

Yeah, they had live mix shows, but their DJs sucked. Krash never should have been fired - nothing good has been done since he left. Well, they got rid of Woody, but went even worse with Kidd.

Something else would be better that what they got now. Im still leaning more to a CHR/Rythimic format. Dont they have a Hurban station already in SA? I just dont know what the new PD got up his sleeve. Looking at his background he PD'd a CHR/Hot AC leaning station. The big question is how soon till something happens?

Kraddick's numbers are already higher than Woody's were, and he's only been on for eight months. He'll be #1 in San Antonio just like he is everywhere else in Texas.

Not No. 1 in Austin. Dumped by 2 stations before landing at its current position on the dial.

Unvision's KCOR/95.1 has flipped to "La Kalle" a few months ago . It could be possible if Mix does flip to Urban Latino (I really hate the word "hurban." It sounds like a dog's name.), we'll see if one market can control two of the same format. Look at Dallas. Univision's KFZO/99.1 and Entravision's KZZA/106.7 are both Urban Latino formats and still on the air.<P ID="signature">______________
