Mix 97 back to normal

The Mix 97 website & station is back to normal. The Christmas in July emails are still there with this message:

Mix 97 presented an all-Christmas weekend.
The majority of our listeners loved it while others ... didn't. That's OK.
To those who appreciated the weekend, thank you for your kind calls and e-mails.
To those who got so angry about Christmas In July and said we should be fired for it, we hope
that you'll continue to listen to Mix 97. It was just a little fun during a heat wave, folks!

I figured they wouldn't switch formats. But hopefully something's in the works at Kicks.

Nice to have my Mix back. Do we really need two country stations too. WRWD plays the same country, right? If Kicks were to change, what for should they flip to?
______________

I'm not sure what they would flip to. They should have stuck with oldies in the first place and they'd be doing just fine.

Do we need more than one AC station?
Do we need more than one Rock station?

Probably not, but for rock, yes. Alternative, classic rock, etc. I don't know about the AC stations though.

As for country, don't they both play the same type of country music? Maybe one of the stations can focus on rock country or classic country.
______________

What's Normal?

Oh, do you mean the monotonous stuff from Miller, Jones and Turner? Just what we need to keep the radio dial unsafe for intelligent, discriminating listeners who value the tradition and history of radio.

Maybe Benfer could fire everyone at Mix including Turner and create his own format. Instead of Jack Radio, he could call it Jerk Radio or Upchuck Radio. He could play a "mix" of same 300 horrible songs from 1980 to present. Benfer could even do the voice overs. It could be simulcast on Y105 to save even more money.

What do you say, Cumulus? Everything else has failed in your cluster screw-up, so why not give it a try?
