Mix 971 playing "whatever weekend"

All this July 4th weekend, it’s a Mix 97.1 “Whatever Weekend.” You’ve never heard anything like this before — it’s radio WITHOUT rules.

Whatever — from whenever — all July 4th weekend and kicks off Friday at 5 p.m. on Mix 97.1, ’80s, ’90s, Now … AND Whatever!

It'll be interesting to see how it works out there. Here in Milwaukee, 99.1, WMYX tried "Whatever Whenever" weekends every weekend for about 2 months or so. They were jockless the entire time. Music spanned from about the mid 70's to currents. I thought it was great, however very few people agreed with me, and they stopped it after loosing quite a big share of the market in the ratings books.

You've never heard that before? That's funny! I heard there's another station saying that in Columbus.
