Listened to Mix 105.1 middays the last couple of days..What a refreshing change to hear Brenda Matthews back on the air...Brenda, if you read this, you sounded great...Nice to hear a DJ middays on Mix who can actually pronounce MIX 1-0-5......Just a couple of other comments about MIX....For the love of God can someone at that station refresh the golds a little bit?....Every single day it seems Cheap Trick "I want You to Want Me"...Rick James "Superfreak"...Every Prince song ever made.....and assorted other songs that should maybe be used only as the occasional "oh wow" that get played every single day...and usually only an hour or two from where they were played the previous day....Superfreak comes on and instantly another radio station is on my radio....And just one more point on MIX...that Friday night 80's promo...Who in the world is doing the imaging?...Someone doing high school or college radio wouldn't put a dance beat behind the songs on the promo...I'm hearing the Bangles with a dance beat in the background, and it's not even a show of dance mixes. The last few months it seems like this station is running with no guidance...I still really enjoy Scott and Erica, and the replacement of Laura Francis with a jock (Lizette Perez) who sounds like she actually wants to be there are two good things, but this station should be better.
Speaking of Laura Francis...Just one comment about Sunny......Why?...Why would you put this mediocre talent on middays?....She sounded like she didn't care on MIX from 7 to midnight and now she sounds like she doesn't care in an even more important daypart on SUNNY....The voice is awful, the delivery is awful and she pretty much does the usual "Sunny 105.9, Laura Francis with Kansas"...every time she cracks the mic...Give branda matthews a fulltime gig...middays on Sunny!.....Whew, I feel better now, lol!
 
Amen....Brenda Matthews is the BOMB!! It is SOOOO GREAT to hear her on the air again. She is a pro and total class in every way!! Thanks Mix and Sunny!

Gotta agree. Scott & Erica are one of the brightest spots in Orlando radio. Overall, Mix is a pretty good radio station but you're dead-on about the imaging.

This radio station needs help! The overall on-air presentation is just mediocre. If you listen to Mix and Sunny it almost seems like the format clocks share a LOT of similarity! What may work fine on one station doesn't mean it'll work on another. The music needs work, too. Some songs are out of the format. Some obvious ones are missing. Some of the music scheduling is just plain bad. What they really need is an experienced classic hits/oldies on-air pd to run the day-to-day operation. This station has a lot of potential, especially with that incredible signal. Too bad they have settled for what they have.
