Mix changes coming???

from FMQBProgramming vet Buddy Scott resigns his post as PD of Clear Channel Hot AC KHMX/Houston and Director/AC Programming for KHMX and AC KODA. Scott plans on returning to his home town of Chicago with his family.

I was thinking that myself. If I remember correctly, the APD hired came from a CHR station. That could mean nothing, yet that could mean everything.

Could also just be that they wanted to go for a slightly younger Hot AC sound.

Vince Richards to screwup another station...

from R&R

With Buddy Scott's departure last week from Clear Channel/Houston, KKRW & KTBZ PD Vince Richards will oversee Hot AC KHMX (Mix 96.5)'s programming. Oversight of AC clustermate KODA, which is programmed by Marc Sherman, will fall under OM Ken Charles' domain.

Hmm.. that is interesting. I dont have a problem with Vince Richards.. but he does rock. Yes, Mix is a rock-based modern Hot AC... but still, it is a female demographic as opposed to the The Buzz and The Arrow. This guy has to love his salary.

I heard that the PD situation will be temporary while they find someone permanent. But you never know. The fewer people they can get to do the jobs, the better. ::)

Wow, that definitely didn't come out how I meant it. I was just saying that I have no doubt he can do a good job, it will be a different feather in his hat, and yes... I'd love that check... who wouldn't?

I didn't take it bad. I'd love the guy's salary. I think we all would. After all, didn't we get into radio for the money? ;D
