Mix HD2 showed up in Baltimore ratings

nd2023

According to DCRTV.com, dance station Mix 106.5 HD2 showed up in the Arbitron ratings.

"Mix 2 Mixing For 4th Of July Weekend - 7/2 - DCRTV hears that Mix 2, the dance music channel on the digital HD2 of Baltimore's WWMX, Mix 106.5, is unveiling its new resident DJ line-up by mixing all 4th of July weekend. The stream is here. Mix 2 has shown up recently in the Baltimore radio ratings and is featured every Thursday and Friday night at Club Mosiac at Power Plant Live in Baltimore....."

That's very great for dance music and HD radio. It's the first time I heard of an HD2 station showing up in the ratings, without an analog translator.

It looks like word of mouth and the interest in Mix2 seems to be paying off. I hope that WWMX-HD2 will boost more interest for Dance fans beyond Baltimore and prove to naysayers that HD radio can work and be competitive at the same time.

How does the station sound? Do they have any personalities? Also are they playing some of Baltimore's homegrown dance music too?

The key phrase in the original post is that the HD2 station "has shown up recently in the Baltimore ratings".

Since HD2 stations sometimes don't show on the Radio-Info.com's ratings grids, I checked a couple of other sites (including Arbitron's) & I didn't see WWMX HD2 listed for June 2010. It may have popped on for a month or two recently. I see WWMX-FM's Webstream listed on Arbitron's site (but with no ratings); similar to the HD2's, the webstreams can easily go on & off the ratings grids month-by-month since they're near the bottom.
