MIX IS WORTHLESS

Well the mediocre forces at SCRG have again ruined radio for Nashville by posting yet another record breaking 11.9 6+ number. That's THE highest AC numbers, and best of the top 50 markets, in the U.S. Pretty unreal. Would anyone agree? Not to mention Mix was number one and Jack was number two. WSM lead the country stations and KDF is hanging on. Looks like SIX needs some Bones to step it up. The overall numbers released today are pretty interesting/

I'm not sure if you have tongue firmly planted in cheek or not. If not, how is Mix ruining Nashville radio? They're on the radio just like everyone else. I don't see them having any advantages that aren't available to others. Middle Tennesseans vote with their listening and obviously they enjoying what they hear on Mix. What's wrong with that? What am I missing? Kudos to Mix for consistency.

Totally joking! My attempt at humor was obviously futile and more because Mix has never gotten much respect on this board because this board is composed a bunch of grumpy AC haters! Haha. MIX is kicking butt here on every level. Like it or not, no one can disagree with the success. Leading the pack ain't worthless at all....

Translated: congrats to the Mix team!!!

Mix 92.9 drops Delilah and gets their highest ratings ever... coincidence?

Tom Kent rocks! 8)

Tom Kent rocks? Hardly. He's adequate for a syndicated satellite jock in Columbia. But South Central can afford to fill his and some of those other bartered slots on Mix with locally paid positions. Running Kent and Tesh puts South Central in the same boat with Clear Channel, Walters and Cumulus. Nothing special in Nashville. Just another radio operation on the cheap.

Compared to DUH-lilah, he rocks! ::)

To add to what I posted yesterday, Tom Kent is only on Mix on Friday and Saturday evenings. DUH-lilah was on all seven nights. (Even the Hoptown station gave their listeners a break from DUH-lilah on Saturday evenings, which may be why they are still carrying her.) As far as I know, the other five nights (evenings) on Mix are live.

It would be cool if Mix 92.9 would once again bring in a live jock on weekend evenings and let him play the cool tuneage that Tom Kent plays. Like that will ever happen again. ::) They had that back in the '90s, but dropped it for DUH-lilah. ::) A local jock could (and did!) do it better than Kent, but I seriously doubt that they would ever again give another local jock that level of freedom to play some cool tuneage on the weekends.

Tesh? He's on overnights; so who cares? ::)

Fire, I think Mix has more "live" talent, mornings, midday, afternoon and evening ('cept Kent) than most of the other stations. Weekends are live and local as well, except (I think) 6-10 A on Sundays and Kent. That's pretty decent to me, by today's standards. It does bring up a good question.... Which other stations are live and when.

Are you sure that Mix 92.9 is "LIVE" on Saturday mornings? I haven't listened to Mix 92.9 on a Saturday morning in quite a while, but the last time I heard Mix 92.9 on a Saturday morning, it sounded as if it were voiced tracked by members of the morning show, with Kim Leslie VT one Saturday, Anna Marie Ritter VT the next Saturday and Clint Redwine VT the third Saturday. Just didn't sound like they were in the studio live doing the show.
