Mix 102.9 has a new morning show starting Jan. 31st. Valentine In the Morning, he's syndicated out of California. What happen to Rick O' Bryan?

That was my first thought...every shift is voice tracked out of market or syndicated then. Weekends already had some "premium choice" (not even tracked...just a national feed) hours.

With Clear Channel eliminating people from the air, do they keep all the management -- is there really a need to have a program director, music director, etc. for a station that has no staff and runs on auto-pilot?
 
Surely The Eagle is next for voicetracked mornings.

Is this the same "Valentine" (Alex?) that was here on Kiss and KDL?

He's set to debut on MIX Jan. 31st, what's the deal with "Variety Of The 90's til Now" on the top of their website? I have a feeling that they'll flip to Gen-X Radio. Any thoughts?
 
Someone that works at KDMX told me that they've definitely pulled the plug on the 80's music and focusing just on the 90's & today's songs. They're in the process of adding more 90's music and that won't happen until next week probably when Valentine starts his new morning show.
