MIX PD Bobby Smith adds PD Duties at JAMZ

CBS RADIO Top 40/Rhythmic WJHM (102 JAMZ)/ORLANDO Interim PD and Hot AC WOMX (MIX 105.1)/ORLANDO PD BOBBY SMITH inks a new multi-year deal with CBS RADIO and officially adds PD title for WJHM.

With all due respect to Bobby Smith, what exactly does a PD of multiple stations do nowadays besides hold the hand of the regional VP of programing? Are they even allowed to think on their own anymore?

I thought the PD at the local cluster reports to an OM? Isn't there an OM at CBS Orlando? Doesn't the OM then report to Regional Programming or does he/she report to local GM?

And if it is a successful cluster-not such a bad thing...If Not-not a good thing.Seems in the old days we used to have more Consultants-Where now the regional vp of programming has more or less assumed the Consultant Role.
