Mix phasing out rhythmic chr?

I don't listen to this station because I don't like it, but as I am flipping through to see what is on (what I can get from out of town) and pass through Mix, I've noticed there's more rock and contemporary stuff playing and less hip hop and other rhythmic music. Have they finally got the point that there are 2 stations that play the same crap? Could they be going into the direction of an alternative modern rock route...96.1 The Buzz?? Oh yeah....what's with the country songs: Carrie Underwood's Before He Cheats and Rascal Flat's What Hurts The Most?

Yeah I have noticed Mix has toned down the hip hop too. In my opinion, that would be the smart thing to do. With two heavy hitting urban stations in the market, any hip hop Mix plays would kind of be white noise. Although I dont think they are flipping, I think they are just playing the hits which does include some hip hop. Oh and according to numberous CHR stations around the country, Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts are also considered pop music and dozens of stations are playing both these records.

Mix is a Mainstream CHR is in Texas. Country music is mainstream in Texas. I hate the songs though.

This could also mean a rise in ratings......and another sign (if any is needed) that Magic is doomed.
