MJ & Bickley Trouble

We don't talk sports radio here often [note new topic David B. ;D ] but I read in 19 October edition of the Arizona Republic that KGME (XTRA-910) morning team Dan Bickley and Mike Jurecki won't be on the air for the rest of the week. Seems that a few imflammatory remarks were made by a guest and the producer wasn't close enough to the dump button to delete it.

By the way, the McPublic article didn't mention that Bick is a writer/columnist for said newspaper.

I don't think that radio hosts should be punished for something that isn't necessarily their faults. Any comments?

So how are Bickley & MJ to blame for their producer's screwup, or are they responsible for the dump button when their producer is "indesposed?" Shouldn't have said producer been fired, or is there more to the story than the Repulsive's letting on?

Those Big and Tall guys are so bad they belong on KDUS.
 
Sounds like Clear Channel is being super anal about this. The producer is the one who should get penalized (and he probably is).

I didn't hear the show; maybe Bickley and MJ were not taking it seriously, or testing the limits? I don't know, but a few days off the air should cause everyone to chill a bit.

...And no, I'm not pimping the "Chill" format.
