MJ & BJ to come back together for two days.

From what I recall, Bubba was trying to get BJ on his show to talk about MJ. Not sure if he ever did. Bubba has also talked at length about his opinions on why MJ & BJ broke up back in 2001. So now MJ wants to set the record straight. Should be interesting to hear these guys back on the air together again. I honestly never thought there was a chance of this happening.

Seems like this is more to benefit them rather then the listeners. 8 years is a long time, does the average listener care? Remember BJ? How about all the new listeners they've gained over 8 years? They surely don't care. Holy ego, Batman.

I noticed this is happening on a Thursday which is the traditional big promotion day of the week in radio, so this sounds like a cheap stunt to get some attention and boost some ratings. Is a new PPM period about to begin or something?

I think theres more to the MJ and BJ reunion, Mj's contract must be coming up soon and I realy don't see him sticking around with the morning show, he has hinted more then once that his time is limited here in the morning. MJ usually puts up a fight with CC and management and he did not fight on the music round, he played the corporate card this time around. BJ may be in the process of being courted to replace MJ and carry on with the show that he helped create and develop.

Thursday was THE day in the diary era. The first day of the diary keeping was Thursday. Same as TV. Does day of the week have any bearing in the PPM era? Thought it was an on-going situation.

So apparently it was a cocaine addiction that took BJ away from the show.

Ya think?
with THAT on his resume and all the trouble it and HE caused, it amazing he could still get a job in this industry. i understand he's in Denver now. for those of you on the beach looking for a gig, you went about it all wrong.

Alcohol and substance abuse are not good for one's career, however B.J. has a track record of success in front of and behind the microphone. A guy with that kind of track record is always going to get more leeway than those of us who just plugged along. Indiscretions that might cost a board op or news guy their job and earn them a spot on the regional black list can be just minor career detours for high profile stars that make big money for owners. As long as owners figure the benefits of hiring certain people outweigh the potential risks, certain people will always get work. Unfair? Maybe, but it's a fact of life.

there are people who have just as much or MORE talent than he does and don't have this kind of history and haven't been this "Lucky", so and what does this say for "Playing By The Rules"?
