MJ gets $10,000 FCC Fine from 2004 prank

CC's WFLZ-FM/Tampa Fined $10,000 For Phone Prank
No one at WFLZ-FM bothered to tell Nicollette Sheridan that she was live on the air and being recorded for later broadcast when morning host MJ Kelli got her on the phone on Nov. 18, 2004. The call was made two days after the "Desperate Housewives" actress appeared with then-Philadelphia Eagles receiver Terrell Owens on ABC's "Monday Night Football" in a promotional scene that caused a monumental scandal when she dropped her bath towel.

$10,000 is pocket change for Clear Channel... especially since they are saving so much on the salaries that they don't have to pay all of the people who have been given their walking papers lately.

Just another example of right wing bias. If it wasn't MJ and CC, the fine would have been much higher!

Actually the fine for that transaction has gone up...in 2001(2) the fine was $5000. The FCC has a schedule of fines that they follow. Just like traffic violations, one who parks in a fire zone will be fined more than one who doesn't pay the meter, regardless of one's politics.

Now THAT is funny ;D

So for what amounts to probably less than 1/4 of their Spring Book promo budget they got a topical phoner from Nicolette Sheridan LOL

Oh I see - wink, wink. I guess they do have to do something every now and then in attempt to be able deny the fact that the FCC and this government does whatever CC wants. Well that is all about to change now that the liberals rule Congress and soon (but not soon enough) the White House. MJ knows how he gets paid, and he understands that he will not be able to trade up that BMW when "his boys" are no longer calling the shots.

Schnitt (errrrr, MJ) would rather talk about Vail, scuba diving, his 28 DVRs in his house, his BMW, his Corvette, his upcoming flight with the Blue Angels, and his many hometowns.
