MJ Morning Show Announcement

I think this will have somthing to do with Taco Boy and the North East, Taco Boy is the Clear Channel Big Cheese for Washington DC and Baltimore Markets and most likely has some pull in the other VA markets.

Taco Boy works out a deal for both shows in the Washington, MJ and Michelle move up to VA which would put them both home (they are from the VA Beach area) Michelle's parents still live up there, MJ would base the show from Washington and renew his tampa, st louis contracts giving him 3 strong markets and Taco Boy works out some deals in the Northeast cities for more markets.

We'll see big news is going to be Wendnesday Morning at 7 15am or the famous last line "coming up after the break" which will turn into 7 40'ish....
 
Moving to DC would be good for him.

Whatever happens, you are likely to hear "We were the first to bring this one to you folks. We were on this from day one. No one else had this and you heard it here first on the MJ Morning show."

Froggy... aka "Kooz" is re-joining the show. Big friggin deal. Like that show needs another staff member. Guess what they say is true... you can always come home amd from recent changes in the market, there's a lot of it going on.
 
I guess MJ needed another gopher, coffee fetcher, and car washer. I guess when you are BIG star like MJ, you can never have enough of them.
 
I guess that settles --- for now --- the speculation of M.J.'s heading toward DC. Don't think he would hire back "Froggy" if he was leaving soon.

I've listened to his morning show for awhile, and can only stomach only a half hour to 45 minutes of it at a time. Can only agree that he's terribly redundant and streaches his segments much too long.

He's also started calling a Verizon Wireless greeter who will be heading to Birmingham for the American Idol auditions this weekend. The fellow has absolutely no personality, and the couple of times he's been on he sounds like M.J. just woke him up (probably did).
 
...maybe I should be glad I've been away from the market for three weeks. From what I've read it seems like that major announcement turned out to be nothing more than a little flag saying "BANG!" coming out of a howitzer when the trigger was pulled. Quick inquiry if I may--when does this show officially "jump the shark", or has it done so already?
 
The show used to be really good, even after BJ imploded. The show was fast paced and topical. I never listened to a CHR station, but the show in the mid to late 90's was great. But like someone said above, his crutch has become relying on the "constant tease" and his obsession with being the first to tell you something --Who cares that YOU were first? NO ONE! -- Focus on the content, not "fixin to get ready" to get to the content.

The world is an imperfect place. Most people CAN'T AND DON'T LISTEN TO EVERY BERAK FROM 6-10 (but I know they should!). People have short attention spans. They have lives, kids and they have jobs. Get to the meat and move on or you risk further erosion of your audience. Leave them wanting more. Maybe Froggy needs to make a show-prep sheet with a topic for each break so focus is not lost on teasing. Just a thought, but what do I know.
 
Does the little guy ever get any sleep since he "Tivo's every news show and reads every newpaper ever printed" the guy is a putz, plain and simple.
He jumped the shark a long long time ago IMHO.
 
...not to mention he's on morning drive, he's on afternoon drive, he's on Prime Time in a "best of" format, and if that's not enough, he's on Sunday mornings!!! Talk about overkill...
