MJ Mornings

Is it just me, or does MJ Kelli/Schnitt seem bored and distracted with his morning show? He is ultra heavy on callers - which I think is a good thing - but he barely interacts with them. On Monday, he was going on and on about thongs (something his ultra right wing alter ego would think is not a very family friendly topic). He took many calls. While he let the callers speak, he never asked them anything or interacted with any of them. He is obviously completely different on his ultra right wing show...

I don't know how many of ya'll noticed this, but from the time MJ & BJ came on the air in 94 until around the time he got his show on 970, Todd postured himself as quite "liberal" and tended to espouse left of center ideas on his morning show. I remember the first time I listened to his show on FLA, I was surprised to hear him talking about the 2nd Amendment, abortion, and praising Dubya. I shouldn't have been surprised, but at the time I was.

I get the impression that he has no idea what he's talking about. Like most political talk show hosts, he appears to lack any original ideas of his own. He's either saying what he's being told to say, or he's saying what he thinks his audience wants to hear. In any event, the man is scared to death of his audience. Lassiter he is not...

As MJ Kelli, I have never heard him espouse a conservative view. And his topics on 'FLZ - the stuff of thongs, shaving, masturbating, etc. - are not those of a conservative.

He did say he was pro-life the other morning.

Occasionally he'll go off on "tirades" that are more suited for his afternoon show, but the crew usually jumps in and says something about how bored they are with what he is talking about and they move on to something else.

Maybe he is getting too old for CHR radio. Just a thought. Compare him to the guys on FLZ at night.

Anyone have any idea what'll fill his slot? Nevermind--just saw the actual, RECENT posting.... stupid link from the original article put me here... :(

Yesterday on his show, he spent an entire segment rereading all of the tweets he posted during the GOP debate the night before. Now, that's great radio. ::)

@MsMusicRadio: John Garabedian is proof that you can never be too old for CHR radio. :p
