MLB on XM Radio Question

Well where I work we have XM Radio which is alright, I kind of found out how to work it I guess. I was going to put the game on so I could listen to it. Now what I found is that they only have one channel for each game which is stupid or maybe two for the Spanish audio. They should give you both home teams audio not just one teams. When the Yankees played the Red Sox they had the WCBS 880 audio feed plus the Spanish audio on another channel. But if you are a Red Sox fan you can't listen to the WEEI 850 feed. So if XM wants to have the MLB get more stations so we can choose the audio we want. If were the fan of one team we want to listen to that teams home radio not the vistors team.

IIRC...the home team broadcast is on XM. It all balances out.
______________

Almost every time it has been the home broadcast I have caught a few that were the visitors. And I think there is only ONE spanish station not one for each game.

Simply put XM doesnt have the bandwith for 32 feeds almost every day.

They've given the visitor feed on occasion when they've had technical difficulties with the home feed. Also, for the Sunday night game of the
week, it's the ESPN feed, not either team's PBP.

So far, the coverage has been good, but not good enough to make me cancel my MLB.com subscription (easier to use the Internet and Total Recorder if I want to record a game anyway).

I just spent $360 for an Ipod, so I'm not particularly inclined to spend another $300-$400 for another portable music device. Although if they let you transfer an existing subscription to a new unit, I suppose that would make me more likely to get one (I'm in the middle of a 5-year subscription). My other point of contention is that the line out on the XM unit seems to be unusually low. Whenever I hook it up to my stereo, it is quite noticeable - when I'm listening to a CD, I rarely put the volume above about 2 (3 would be loud), but when I'm listening to XM, I have to crank it up to 5 or 6 just to listen at a reasonable level. The same thing happened when I hooked up my VersaCorder to XM - it worked fine when I hooked it up to an AM radio (got some good DX with this and a Drake R8), but I tried to tape something off of XM (I think it was Drudge or something) and the line out was rather low.

Have you gone into the menu to adjust the line out? The default is a few ticks below full volume. There should be some room to adjust it to balance out.
______________

If my memory serves me correctly I increased the line out to the maximum, but I'll check just in case.
