MLK March

I cant confirm this just yet but from what I have heard, KBBT was the ONLY station at the MLK march this morning. Does anyone know if any other stations made it out there this morning?

Not surprising considering Mix is syndicated and KTFM is controlled by lame a$$ Landis. Which basically means that if it's not happening anywhere between Stone Oak and The Dominion, then it's not worth their time. You people at KTFM & KTSA know exactly what I mean ;)

Btw, props to The Beat for being in the mix for MLK.

i agree, they are out there every year for MLK. The mix was added bonus

This is another reason why Hip Hop is on the decline. People that are not familiar with music automatically associate Hip Hop with gangs. Unfortunately, the largest MLK march in the nation ended with gang violence. What a damn shame.

From mysa.com- http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/Police_investigate_East_Side_shooting.html

Gunfire disrupted Monday's message of peace.

With hundreds still gathered at Pittman-Sullivan Park following the MLK March and Commemorative Program, police said a 14-year-old boy shot a .45-caliber handgun at rival gang members in a nearby parking lot, officials said.

“It's a shame,” said San Antonio Police Chief William McManus. “Disrespectful is too light a term, but, it disrespects what this day is all about. It's sad.”

Yes it really is sad. But in my opinion ignorant to say that Hip Hop had ANYTHING to do with what happened. Surely there is someone out there who thinks this way. Intertwining Hip Hop with this clearly ignorant child is just wrong.

Way to go on the link to the story SARADIO1 *thumbs up**
