Maybe it's just my heritage or the despondent state of affairs radio is in today, but it's almost sickening to hear all the cheeseball radio vignettes (all echoing the SAME words from Dr. King) just so they can play more Urban AC or hip hop songs. It's a given for stations with that format and they SHOULD beef up programming with more than just music and a few bumpers, but when Lite, Mix and Kiss do the same... that's not tributary, it's pimpin'!

Wonder if consultants had anything to do with that quality programming too? ???

I agree with you. Somehow when the White bred stations do it, it's patronizing. You really want to convince people you mean it, have some dialogue and get more involved in the African-American community.
