MLS Season Pass - First Look

MLS Countdown - Awkward and pretty much pointless. Spending too much time NOT talking about soccer, then racing through previewing seven games as quickly as possible, while stuffing the half hour with as many commercials as possible!

I did see the Apple TV version of the opening national game which was decent enough. They did tease an "Apple Music" Johnny Cash Tribute for halftime, which turned out to be only one song of that performance (from a few of Cash's decedents). The rest consisted of a minute of highlights, a minute covering the new playoff format, and the same set of commercials we saw before the game. I'm now watching the Atlanta/San Jose game, and clicking around the other games as for. The audio on the Apple TV side is badly mixed. Can barely hear the commentators over the crowd. Following the games much better with the home team radio option.

So far, not impressed enough to see these games behind a $100 or $13 a month paywall. I doubt i'm alone.

So are they using local feeds or their own productions.
100% their own productions. No local feeds, although the live game I watched was in Atlanta vs. San Jose, but a lot of the ads sold were for Stanford University Health, and different Bay Area car dealerships, so maybe you get a 'feed' closest to your location (So Cal for me)

Most likely it’s location based ad insertion.
