Mmmmm....

I guess all what has happened on LA TV is that everything is shut down and somebody is about to turn out the lights.....

It's Summer. Nothing is going to happen until September.

Not true. Watch NBC 4 at 3 PM for "The Local Story - Summer Edition" weekdays. It's a new 1 hour newscast hosted by Ross Becker (previously an anchor at the ABC station in Las Vegas and prior was an anchor at KCOP) from the Channel 4 newsroom. It is hands down the worst newscast that Los Angeles has seen since KNXT (now KCBS) did the "News Wheel" back in the 80's. I can't believe something this bad is on Los Angeles tv. It's a must watch (see it once) but you'll be shaking your head afterwards. The technical goofs and the poor directing are something I'd expect in a small market, not Los Angeles. What has happened to NBC 4?

Been watching TV from Lubbock TX have you? LOL ;D

However, if yiou would READ where you are, this particular message board is for TELEVISION CITIES, LOS ANGELES!!!!!

Maybe you should read before making comments to other people...

The lack of conversation on this board isn't surprising.

First, the fact that this is Radio-Info and that there are more radio boards than TV boards (and there are) really isn't all that relevant. Even people not in the business manage to find their way here. I did.

Second, the old Radio-Info before the divorce didn't have a separate Los Angeles TV board, just a California board. IMO, this board should have been shut down long time ago due to lack of interest.

Third, one of the more prolific posters to the California board was one of the moderators involved in the divorce. He and some others started their own thing elsewhere. And their California board isn't exactly hopping either.

And last, most of the California conversation is and has been in the past from San Diego or the Bay Area anyway.

Two other changes in local L.A. tv this summer. The KTLA Morning Show (former KTLA Morning News) was expanded one additional hour now from 7-10 AM. And Good Day L.A. on Fox 11 expanded one more hour also, from 7-11 AM. 4 hours of Steve Edwards and his new beard...yikes. But anything is better than the now boring KTLA Morning Show.
