MMR Archives??

When the Eagles flooded the WYSP airwaves tonight, I had to turn to WMMR, not by choice :(. What interested me, was when the female host said, "here is a classic track from the WMMR Archives". It was really Steven Tyler without Aerosmith, what struck me funny was after the song the host proceded to say, "this was off the CD so and so". I thought if it was an Archives track, it would of been on either tape or some other kind of system, not on a CD that anyone can purchase, but something that was exclusive to WMMR only. On another note, whatever happened to the great sonic session shows that Y-100 had over the years and would play on occasion, it would seem a real shame to just dump them. There were some great bands from the past 15 years, some went on to become superstars and some are dead and gone?

When they refer to the MMRchives they are talking about playing something that they either haven't played in a long time, or something that is not in heavy rotation. I do believe that back in the 80's/early 90's and before, the MMRchives mostly were exclusive tracks recorded at their studio by guest artists/bands, but the archives haven't been that way for awhile now.

They have sonic session tracks in somewhat regular rotation.
