I thought I would never say this, but kudos to this reverse order music holiday MMR put together. When you hear Red Ryder, Oasis, Skid Row, Ratt, and the most underated Metal Magician of all time, Ronnie James Dio with Holy Diver, they have my full attention. They are playing plenty of music with little talk and lots of "off the wall" Hard cuts. YSP could not compete with them this holiday, all they had was Pearl Jam cuts being played constantly. I like PJ but not every tune. I was surprised YSP had their regular talk format on today, I figured they would go music for the holiday but I guess they realize they alienated their music audiance, who flocked over to MMR. I know this format will not continue at MMR and tomorrow they will go back to being dull, boring and predictable.

Since when is Ronnie Dio considered "underrated?" Last time I checked he was highly revered for his talents. Honestly I think at this point you're posting just to get reactions from people. On a side note I don't think the "music" had much to do with listeners flocking to MMR. Stern leaving YSP and P&S going to 'MMR, I believe, coincide nicely with the changes in ratings.

When I say RJD is underated, I mean he is not played or mentioned like other music acts. Many people who are into Rock music do not even know who he is, or what he contributed and created (the horns). He is not on the front page, he is mainly in the background. Also, the demise of the Active Rock music on YSP has played a big part on their drop in ratings. Its not only Stern or P&S, the music still is a big part of those two stations.
