CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 KXXM (MIX 96.1)/SAN ANTONIO MD/night stud MO' BOUNCE is the victim of a budgetary realignment. Reach this talented player at [email protected], and check out the audio at myspace.com/mobounceonline.

In other words, Mix has no Mo Bounce.

;D

My sincere apologies to Mr. Bounce on the loss of his job, but that was too tempting to pass up.

HA! No offense taken...to put any future rumors to rest, this was 100% a budget re-alignment. I'm still in very good straights with my OM, PD and GM. I also have gotten LOTS of love in the past 48 hrs from people in the biz, so I feel fortunate. I also have some concrete leads so far.

I wish nothing but the best to the people in the CC building :) I was always treated well.

Wish me luck!

"budget re-alignment" Man, Corp radio really sucks in 2007.

Man! Didn't you just get married?

Hey man, I wish you the best of luck too. I appreciate your good humor about the whole thing, but I don't see how you can have such a good attitude about it. I mean, I haven't heard you and I don't know you (I'm in Austin) but I am assuming based on what I am reading from other people that you were good at what you did and weren't screwing anything up. If that is the case, then a bunch of billionaires just eliminated your job and salary (what probably amounts to pocket change for them). What they now have, and us as listeners now have, is less quality, less creativity and presumably less of a product.

Sorry for the rant, but I've seen this happen far too many times to far too many good quality people in the name of "budget" and it makes me want to hurl.

I hope you land a good job, Mo. I apologize again for my rant at your expense. Best wishes.

No, its really cool man...thanks for the love. I have a good attitude about this because this is what I do...what I chose. Knowing what this biz has become is fine! Because every time I get the bad luck a new and BIGGER gig has opened for me. I'm fortunate and trying to be humble about everything.

For instance...I have had more job inquiries now then I have ever had! I'm even up for some BIG gigs right now that I can't discuss...but seriously big. And I hope that one of them pops!

We will see. The way I look at this is...if I was never laid-off...I might not have had these opportunities come my way in the last couple weeks.

Plus, I can finally enjoy my nights for a little while! I'm a newly married man and get to actually hang out with my wife at night...like a normal couple! Its amazing. And damn, TV is awesome! I can actually watch TV when it airs..and not have to watch it from my DVR the next day. LOL

Now, if I don't land a gig in the next 2 months...my tone will be different im sure lol. But for now, im very optimistic...and thats what keeps me going and always with a job :)

I've been pushed off the cliff twice and jumped more than a few times of my own accord. On both occasions where I was let go, I moved on to much bigger and better things. I shudder to think how things would have turned out if I'd never been given the boot anywhere. Sometimes you have to be bumped out of your comfort zone to move on to bigger, better things.

You'll be fine.
