WBLX, Mobile Weekend Jock Quits On-The-Air
CUMULUS Urban WBLX/MOBILE parttimer INETTA (THE MOOD SETTA) exited from the market-leading station. She actually quit, live, on-the-air SATURDAY 8/12. She had been working parttime for six years. No official word on her replacement yet.

Did anyone, by chance, have any tape rolling?

HOLY CRAP that break of hers was entertaining. She spoke her mind AND played a station drop by the voice guy at the end to identify the station. Very tight indeed.

I wonder what was the straw that broke her back. The alleged $6.00 an hour part time salary for six years or something else.

Classic audio for real. ;D

Must be something in the water at ClueLess/ Mobile, as this is the SECOND part-timer to quit live on the air. About 18 months or so ago, WYOK (then on the air as HOT 104) part-timer "TJ" quit live on the air. I believe he is now across town at WABB-FM.

it's getting national airplay now, O&A played it on the XM show yesterday, and again on the commercial side of the show this morning

James Alexander and Myronda Rueben-Dexter needs to be drop kicked for playing that woman like that. $6.00/hr is an insult to anybody over age 18.

and locally, it's got airplay on the greg show on 1170 WACV

Was she blind to the these 100 million facts that are most obvious?

1.) Radio is all about back stabbing
2.) $6.00 is less than McDonald's - which has less back stabbing and a better snack machine
3.) Crumulus though it was rewarding her for six years of service by giving her that much an hour

and 4)-100,000,000) It's Crumulus and they overpaid for all there stations on the Gulf Coast and only average $5.00 a spot...
what was she expecting? She's on the top of the pay scale there.

It was a vintage performance though. Did the Crumulus brains then try to FIRE her after this? Hahaha!

I can't believe I JUST found out about this. ;D :D ;D :D ;D

Too hilarious. It's too bad that "Jimmy 106" won't be segging into an urban format, 'Inetta' was one of the most familiar and better jocks they had. Granted, it was bad form to say what she said on live radio, but some measure of propers must be given for not accepting bad treatment at work.

I hope she lands on her feet.

She probably had enough of the low hourly rate and of the yelling matches of GM Pizotti.
The wildman from Brooklyn sent another one packing!

Yeah, this $6 an hour employee might just have made enough waves to get the higher ups to see lawsuit, defamation and
unhappy work enviromental issues....

Oh, wait. Never mind. It's Cumulus. It's part of the job description.

Where's the defamation?

Defamation requires UNTRUTH. I didn't hear anything here that fit that (I assume she tells the truth about her pay rate).

Besides, I suspect Cumulus would rather forget this unfortunate incident.

DE

She'll be fine. I heard she has another job already that is not in radio. She was one of the better personalities on 93BLX. At least she doesn't have to put up with sweat shop anymore.

I have a problem with the fact she was there for SIX YEARS and made SIX DOLLARS at THE MARKET LEADING STATION.

THIS is exactly what is wrong with radio. S#!tty owners that dont give a dang about anybody but their own pockets.

All the more reason to crank up the XM/SIRIUS.

SIX YEARS. SIX BUCKS. THE MARKET LEADER.

Embarrassing. :'(

WE HERE IN MOBILE SAY YOU GO GIRL IT TOOK A LOT OF COURAGE TO DO WHAT YOU DID. ALL THOSE FAKE FRIENDS AT THE STATION CAN GET A LIFE AND STAY OUT OF YOUR NOW. NOW SIT BACK AND PICK OUT OF THE HUNDREDS OF JOB OFFERS
