MOBILE RADIO NEEDS HELP...FAST!

Well, I was wondering if BLX has any mix shows...PLUS: BLX sounds like they are leaning to Urban not HIP HOP. Have you noticed they play a lot of smooth r&b songs? I guess it's what the listeners want, since there ratings are somewhat good. (to me), It's horrible what these station's in the Mobile/Pensacola are doing. They are screwing up as all the other stations in the area are doing...literally! EXAMPLE, (WABB, and the CC's)I have decided i'm not going to the radio, i rather listen the sports station instead. Am I missing something?

Anyway, does BLX have any Mix shows that they do?

Sorry I had to..but it's sad..

Well, sorry, I mean they need some programming adjustmants. All of there syndicated shows (Rick Dees, AT40) air two times p/ weekened. Question: Why? But they are getting a new PD, so maybe that can fix it up!

There music selection is weary. Very weary.

That station has a strong signal, too.
How are they doing audience wise?

WABB-FM might have let a weekend personality or two go. Their "Sunday Night Slow Motion" show was live jocked, and he/she took requests.

They only have 2 for the weekened. Q-Tip from mornings and Kristen. That's it. That's why they have Rick Dees and At40 two airings per weekened.

WABB is going through some rough internal times right now.... the new PD starts this week...I hear alot of good things about him. WABB was a great station and will be again...let's give this guy a chance.

i just moved here from miami and i must say that the radio here SUCKS. WABB is a letdown for me (especially because its not a cookie cutter)..... The station actually has potential to be a GREAT CHR but im hearing WAY too many recurrents too many times/day. It seems like everytime i listen in I hear Outkast - Hey Ya... I want variety on my chr.

As a former employee, I never thought I'd be one to defend the WABB but they will get things turned around. It's a heritage CHR that has been dominant in the ratings for a long time. The station has gone through a very interesting last few months, with the morning show, PD, and MD all leaving within a three month period.

New PD started this week and from what I hear he's got some ideas to get the station back on track. Give them a chance. There was a reason they were nominated for CHR of the year at R&R...they'll turn it around

I hope. they truly have a lot of potential to be the Gulf Coast's Pure CHR station.

I see and hope the changes come soon....I wonder what those would be?

And is there afternoon guy and nightguy permanent or temporary?

I like the afternoon guy but the nightguy sounds.....well,..interesting!

not sure who's doing their afternoon show right now - i dont think the night guy is there permanently...he's a good kid but kinda got thrown into the fire thanks to the mass exodus - we'll see what kind of changes Zac makes

guess we can't no longer call ABB alabama's best broadcasters now can we?

I wonder how well 93 blx would do as a jazz station?
I heard "in the air tonight" a few weeks ago

Sad how radio has gotten this sucky.
The only stations that's tolerable is 96.1 and 99.9 (even though they have PREMIER's goddess at night)

94.1 is still at low power, lord knows when they will come back up.

we don't get 92.1 down here even though their format is Adult Album how well are they doing there?

-Rob

BLX going Smooth Jazz? Yeah right.....Pshh...Nat GANNA HAPPEN!

Why don't you flip 104.1 to jazz...we don't need this many country stations...or do we?

WABB WILL CHANGE! OHP to Sunday Nights with Kane! That might make a big move?!?!?

96.1 the rock is the most bland classic rock station i've ever heard.
